Sophie Seita


(*1987, DE) lebt und arbeitet in Cambridge und New York.

Sophie Seita works with text and sound on the page, in performance, video, and multi-media collaborations. She recently had a solo exhibition at [SPACE] in Hackney, and has performed or exhibited her work in London, New York, Santiago de Chile, Paris, Bristol, Cambridge, Berlin, Amsterdam, Cork (Ireland), and elsewhere. She’s the author of My Little Enlightenment: A Lecture Performance (2019), Provisional Avant-Gardes (2019), Transpositions (2018), Meat (2015), Fantasias in Counting (2014), and 12 Steps (2012); the translator of Uljana Wolf’s Subsisters: Selected Poems (2017), and the editor of The Blind Man (2017), named one of the Best Art Books of 2017 by The New York Times. She currently teaches at the University of Cambridge, and from September will take up an Assistant Professorship at Boston University.
